- Listing submission form: business name, owner name, phone number, email, app details, and payment information
- Comment / review form: name, email address, and your written review
🌐 Automatically Collected Data
- IP address (anonymised for analytics)
- Browser type and version
- Pages visited and time spent on site
- Referring website or search query
- Device type (mobile, desktop, tablet)
💳 Payment Data
- M-Pesa phone number (used only to initiate STK push)
- M-Pesa transaction receipt number
- We do NOT store bank PINs, card numbers, or M-Pesa PINs — all payments are processed directly via Safaricom STK Push APIs.
3. How We Use Your Data
We process your data strictly for the following purposes:
- To respond to contact form enquiries and lender listing submissions
- To process M-Pesa listing fee payments and issue digital receipts
- To publish user-submitted loan app reviews (first name or alias only)
- To monitor site security, prevent spam, and protect against abusive traffic
- To compile aggregated, anonymous analytics about directory usage in Kenya
We never sell your personal data to third parties, loan apps, credit bureaus, or marketing agencies.
4. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We may share limited data with trusted service providers who assist in operating our platform:
- Safaricom M-Pesa API: Phone numbers sent for STK payment initiation
- Cloudflare / Hosting Provider: IP addresses processed for DDoS protection and SSL encryption
- Legal Compliance: When required by Kenyan law enforcement or court order under the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019
