1. Metropol CRB (*433#)
- Dial *433# on your Safaricom phone.
- Enter your National ID Number.
- Pay the KES 50 registration fee via M-Pesa.
- You will receive an SMS containing your credit score and listing status (Cleared vs Listed).

2. TransUnion Kenya (SMS 21272)
- Send your full National ID Number via SMS to 21272.
- Follow the prompts to register your details.
- Check clearance status online at transunion.africa/kenya.
How to Obtain a CRB Clearance Certificate
If you were previously listed for defaulting on a loan, repay the outstanding balance in full with the lender. Lenders must update CRB records within 30 days. Once updated, you can request an official CRB Clearance Certificate for KES 2,200 via Metropol or TransUnion.
